Will The Voters Be Duped Yet Again?

The old adage goes, “Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.” Well, Donald Trump has proved time and again that many voters are way more gullible and susceptible to lies than once or twice. Take his recent promise (bribe) that if the Republicans win the House and the Senate in the upcoming mid-term elections that he will issue a check for $5,000 to every adult American citizen in this country. He has already told a version on this lie several times already: the two thousand dollar rebate checks on the windfall from the tariffs that the courts ordered him to pay back to the American businesses, the DOGE saving checks that never materialized because the DOGE savings were never all that big though important programs were cut and many long time government employees lost their jobs, and then there was another promised rebate to farmers and others hurt by the high gas prices due to the illegal war with Iran. Did you ever get those checks? Neither did I. Even if Trump is able to dupe a majority of the voters with lies about a booming economy, or the Iran war magically ending after the mid-term elections, a Joe McCarthy style red scare, or public schools under Democrats doing sex change surgeries in the classrooms, there will be no $5,000 checks issued to all adult U.S. citizens. That would cost the Treasury 1.2 Trillion Dollars and all the millionaires in government and their billionaire backers would never sit still for that, nor would Donald Trump who increased his net worth by over two billion dollars in the first year and a half of this second term as President.
