Having An Ace Up Your Sleeve

I am in no way endorsing or encouraging cheating, just proposing a little bit different understanding of the expression of “having an ace up your sleeve.” I believe that every one of us has access to the greatest advantage of all in life, a direct line to our loving and infinite source, our higher best self. This is our ace in the hole or up our sleeve that insures our ultimate success. The deck is stacked in our favor. 

Enough of the card playing metaphors. There is a promise in the New Testament that I alluded to a few days ago that says all things work together for good: 

Many Christians see a disclaimer or proviso in the last half of the verse and assume that the promise only applies to the “chosen” but I believe the Universe (God) causes his/her rain to fall on the just and the unjust and that all his/her promises are “Yes,Yes” to each and all.

We are all more than conquerors, winners in the game of life, because we have…that’s right, an ace up our sleeve and are never out of aces. I just could not resist one last poker metaphor.
