Diners, How Many Have You Tried?

In my traveled I have frequented twelve of the twenty dinners listed in today’s picture and more than a hundred different chains not listed. I like eating in dinners, yet prefer the local one of a kind variety the best. Working away from home on the road, often the nearest thing to a home cooked meal are these local eateries with their daily specials.

Hungry working men and women soon find the places that serve the best food at the best prices and keep them in business. In many small towns the VFW’s have a daily fare where they feed hungry workers more than just the usual “bar food” consisting mainly of burgers and fries.

I recently saw a series of pictures showing a couple discussing where they might eat, the last picture being of two skeletons as they obviously could never agree on a place. Two many choices and not enough can both present a problem, and yet neither problem is as difficult as not being able to decide.

Diners, especially local independent ones, always seemed to make that decision easier with their daily specials.
