A Tribute To Tony Bennett
Today is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Tony Bennett. Nancy Sinatra paid tribute to him today on social media and I would like to as well. Tony is most famous for his recording of I Left My Heart in San Francisco.
Fifty six years ago I visited that beautiful city briefly on my way to South Vietnam and then again eleven months later on my return home. San Francisco and Tony Bennett’s tribute to her have ever since had a special place in my heart.
I love to sing his song. I really put my heart into it as he did.
