Back-up Cameras 

My previous vehicle was a 2005 Jeep Wrangler. It was definitely old school with a stick shift, no cruise control and even roll-up windows. In 2015 I bought a new Dodge Ram 1500 with all the latest bells and whistles and even a back-up camera which made backing up a lot safer and hooking up to my pull-behind RV Camper a lot easier.

While my truck was in the shop recently, getting a new fuel pump, I had a new rental car with an even bigger back up camera screen. I enjoyed driving it, but was glad to turn it in yesterday and to get my truck back. We have shared almost two hundred thousand miles of adventures together and I hope we get to share a hundred thousand more.

Many oldster resist change. I do not, but happily welcome it. I even get a new iPhone every few years just to force myself to learn the latest add-ons. I cannot afford to get a new vehicle every few years, but did however relishes the new innovations on the rental car I recently drove.

Today’s picture quote made me chuckle. It also made me think of my mom who died twenty-six years ago. She never got to see my granddaughter who turns three today. Mama would have gone Ga Ga over Emma Grace. Her Granny and Poppa White certainly have.

Sliced bread, smart phones and back-up cameras,  are among some of the better new and improved products on the market. Grandchildren have them beat hands down.
