It’s About Time
We are all time and space travelers whirling through space on this marvelous Time Machine that we call earth. All of nature dances to the tune of circadian rhythms. We are born with an internal clock that is set to sunrises, sunsets, and the changing of the seasons. Man is forever it seems monkeying with calendars and clocks try to make the most of time.
Since the Germans in World War One switched to daylight savings time to increase war production and the Allies soon followed suite it has been about getting more done in the daylight. But studies have recently shown that Daylight Savings Time is not just a bad idea health wise but that the production gains and electricity savings are negligible. The U.S. Congress, famous for getting things backwards, is again trying to make Daylight Savings Time permanent when the science says that going back to Standard Time all the time would be the better move.
Time is like the weather, everybody talks about it, but no one does anything about it. It’s about time that cooler wiser heads prevailed and that we reset our outer clocks to our inner ones. Staying up late and sleeping late seem appealing to young people and artists, but most of us need our sleep and we make our best zzz’s between sunset and sun up.
Folks this is not rocket science, just good ole common sense. It’s about time we admitted that some old adages ring true because their time has come and still is. Early to bed and early to rise makes a man (women and children too) not just healthy, wealthy, and wise but well-rested and ready to make the most of our days.

The time change is less of wisdom. Healthier when we leave it standard
