Allowing For Pleasant Surprises
How sad to be so set in our ways as to have no room in our lives for pleasant surprises. I hold to the Circle of Life theory on life that there is far too much to take in here, more to do than can ever be done and my heart and mind are forever open to all the Universe has for me, for all the Universe to flow in an through me. Now that was a long compound sentence.
I was pleasantly surprised to see on a daily email that I get showing activity on my checking account that an automatic deposit that I was not expecting for another week was pending. That usually means the cash is or will be available right away. I smiled at the sweet surprise.
I believe life is meant to be scattered with sweet surprises like the blooms of flowers not just in the spring, but all throughout the year. I have long believed that not just myself but all of us were meant to have music and flowers wherever we go. To me candy, flowers, and music are but three of the ways our loving and infinite source courts us and woos us to trust in Him/Her. These sweet and blessed (happy) surprises are reminders just how dearly we are loved.
I can still hear wonderful singer Jim Nabors doing his best Gomer Pyle, “Surprise, Surprise!” Keep your arms and hands, your mouth, nose, ears and eyes opened. You might just be surprised.
