Inspiration

Inspiration is more like dictation with poets, authors, and song writers and all of us really merely being channels through which all the riches of the Universe flow out to an ever widening audience. I begin my daily mantra with:

“My heart and my mind are open. My arms and my hands are open. My mouth, nose, ears and eyes are open to all the Universe has for me, for all the Universe to flow in and through me.”

To be inspired is to be a clear channel, open and unobstructed. Pure imagination comes to us when we make all our faculties available to our higher power. One of the most moving Christian songs ever written is Take Me Life by Frances R Havergal in 1874.

Surrendering thusly to our higher best self is to to make ourselves channels of pure imagination and to live a life ever inspired and one that is an inspiration to others. That has ever been the goal of all true authors, poets, and song writers.
