The Power Of The Encouraging Word
We all know the power of the discouraging words and are sadly haunted by examples from our own childhood. But encouraging words have the power to counter all of those a discouraging words and more for the truth can indeed set us free and bring out the highest and best in us all.
Three very powerful encouraging words we hear a lot this time of year are Peace, Love, and Joy. Joy to the World, the Angel sang, and Peace On Earth. There is no Peace, no Joy, without Love.
I am reminded of the closing lines of a sad but lovely love song: “I wish you shelter from the storm, a cozy fire to keep you warm, but most of all when snowflakes fall, I wish you love.”
