Payment Due

Like many of you I once lived in dread of bills coming due, but some years ago some words came to me that revolutionized my thinking. They are as follows: “I am so glad and grateful that everything that I could ever want or need is already mine and coming to me at just the right time and in just the right way from my loving and infinite source.”

Like the athletic star happily thanking God for his or her victory we find it so easy to be glad and grateful when those things come our way, but what of the losses, the diseases, and the bills that always come due? Can we learn to be glad and grateful for those too? I believe we can and that we should.

If we believe in a benevolent Universe we have to believe that He/She/We always has the highest and best in mind for us. I heard a great quote from a new TV series that I started streaming over the weekend, Gaslit. It goes like this, “The great arc that is the Universe bends slightly toward the good guys.” The game it would seem is always rigged in our favor.

If you are not currently experiencing a “happy ending” you can be sure it is not the end of the story yet. “The landlord say, ‘Your rent is late, he may have to litigate.’ Don’t worry, be happy.”

If you find yourself strapped for cash be sure your loving and infinite source is always flush.
