Keep You Eye On The Prize
There are many cliches that come to mind regarding today’s thought, but one in particular, “Life is a hunt.” Whether the prize is a starry crown, laurel wreath, trophy, attaboy, or a heavenly home, it is often the best motivation to keep stretching and striving just keeping our eye on the prize.
A friend of mine, Mike Dooley, believes that our every dream will come true except those we short-circuit by at the same time aspiring to counter goals. I think he is spot on as I have often quoted the comic strip philosopher Pogo who many years ago announced, “We have discovered the enemy and it is us” or words to that effect.
If you want to be rich, quit poor mouthing. If you truly want to find your prince or princess stop thinking yourself an unworthy commoner. You are a child of the Universe and as such are more than deserving of everything your heart desires.
It does help our dreams to come true faster if we keep our focus on the prize and allow the Universe some wiggle room to work it’s magic. The hardest part for us is just figuring out what we really want and framing those requests properly, unambiguously, and without conflicting or competing desires, remembering the clear promise, “Whatsoever you ask, believing, you shall receive.”
Here’s to yet another day of wishes granted and promises fulfilled. Remember, home truly is where the heart is.
