The Rhythm Of Life
A new week begins, one that will see this month end. In my part of the world, Houston, Texas, spring is in full bloom and the days most of them will be having highs in the upper seventies, low eighties, and soon enough nineties. But, I get ahead of myself and isn’t that the temptation we all experience – trying to live too far ahead instead of enjoying now to the fullest.
The poet has said, “Take no thought (do not worry) about tomorrow for tomorrow shall take thought (worry) about itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. (Each days has enough troubles of it’s own.” So much negativity there. If I may I would like to take a little poetic license with that piece.
Let us live each day as if it were our last
Forgetting all our tomorrow and the past
Focusing rather on our just being blessed
And savoring full each drop of happiness.
Living each day full bore and all out
Praising its joint creators with a shout
We made this new world to spin it
We made it and should rejoice it it.
“This is the day that the Lord (Big Dave) and I (Little Dave) have made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
