I Love The Stars
Blog 2278 – 01.16.2022
My favorite line in the song Wonderful World speaks of “the bright blessed day and the dark sacred night.” This world is not as so many have been taught to believe divided into night and day, black and white, good and bad. This world is not divided at all but One and that One Universe like the Ying Yang symbol is light and dark with even the dark containing a little light and the light containing a little dark.

A bright nearby star we call Sun rules our daylight hours, but our night sky is ruled by the moon going through its cycles each month but even more by a myriad of stars twinkling and each claiming their own space.
Our bodies they say are made of star dust and I believe that there burns within each one of us a light far brighter than the sun and all the stars, the God spark. I am not just waxing poetic here. There is a three word sentence that I added to my daily mantra sometime ago that follows another three word sentence that one of my favorite authors, the late Louise Hay, used to write and to say often. “I go within.” The second three word sentence I added is “I mirror you.”
Those last three words mean many things to me. One of the top most is that all the Universe around me day or night is but a reflection of that which dwells within. Like many young girls and boys who grew up in the late nineteenth fifties and sixties I have long dreams of adventuring in to outer space. In the words of the TV and movie series Star Trek, “To boldly go where no one has gone before, to seek out new worlds…”
I often quote one of my favorite Jesus lines that he used on people looking high and low for a way into the kingdom of heaven. He said simply but so profoundly, “The kingdom of heaven is within you.”
At my age, seventy-one and counting, it is becoming increasingly more unlikely that I will get to venture far beyond the near atmosphere of this big blue ball we call earth, at least this go round. But there is a Universe within that I have just barely begun to explore through meditation, manifestation, and creation. You see, I literally believe that our thoughts become things. In the same way that I like to put my thoughts out before me in printed words so that I can order them in different ways trying to make the best sense of them, so are these inner visions of a better and brighter world yet to be.
Do I have dark dreams and nightmares too? Well, yes, a few but not nearly as often as I once did. I have learned as then song lyric I quoted yesterday “to accentuate the positive.” It is not really feasible to eliminate the negative. Almighty God, and we may have differing opinions as to Who that truly is, is purported to have once said: “I prefer that you were either hot or cold, but because you are neither, but luke-warm, I will spew you out of my mouth.”
That black and white picture of God with it’s stark contrasting black and white and hints of of varying shades of gray, needs updating to a full color portrait employing all the colors of the rainbow – no shadows just as many shades of light as there are stars.
I do not fear the blacks or the whites and having been this go round cast in the role of a white male I can say we have given the world reason enough to fear us by our mostly selfish and self-serving behaviors. Pale skinned as I have appeared these going on seventy-two years, my skin is usually more pink or blue depending upon exposure to the sun in the day or the cool air of the evening. Yes, just one of those colored boys and girls like all the rest, but each an all of us stars shining brightly.
We are afraid of what we do not know, but I know stars are just suns a bit farther away. Scientists say that the stars are ever slipping farther away from us. All the more reason for us to seek their true source within.
