A Wrinkle In Time, Chapter 7

A Wrinkle In Time, Chapter 7

A life on hold, stuck in a memory, is something most of us older than five have experienced at least once in our lives. Pleasant as it may seem to relive a precious memory or nurse an old grievance both are an incredible waste of mind and of time. Life is meant to be a live production neither a re-run loop nor a coming attractions reel.

I have spent as much time as anyone in movie theaters or glued to a book or television screen watching others’ stories unfold, but we all have a story of our own to be told, to flesh out, to experience in technicolor with surround sound. Someday when this life is over we may have a time in between lives or after them to replay some of the more poignant and relevant scenes, but now is not the time.

Now Is Ours

Now is the time of your life

Stuck stories are real & rife

Cut those chords with a knife

To the past and free your life.

We must all learn to let go

Weights that drag us below

Nothing new can we know

Till we just learn to let go.

Now is truly all that there is

No flat drink without a fizz

Not what was, will be, but is

The past & the future are His.

The clear word says, “Today is the day of salvation.” Live each new day to the full, forgetting the past both the triumphs and tragedies, the kindness of others and their slights. Linger not to long remember either for there is the adventure of today to be lived.

Your friend and fellow traveler,

David White
