I Love You Through And Through

Happy the child so loved be he or she one or one hundred and one. And nothing so satisfies us so through and through as loving and being loved. It is what we were all born into this time and space to experience.

I have written more than once in these rapidly closing in of two thousand blogs that I believe that we are all like the Blues Brothers on a mission from God, the mission of a lifetime. And like Nat King Cole’s Nature Boy it is our nature to discover “The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.”

Certainly there are distractions that will, if we let them, hide this one essential truth from us. There is fame, fortune, and the solving of some seemingly important math problem. (See the wonderful movie Gifted for more on that.) What makes life truly worth living is love. I recall a great German poet who cautioned a young budding poet to write about anything other than love. But what else is there, for God, the Universe, is love and there is nothing apart from it, even us, and through and through.
