Blue Skies, Nothing But, Blue Skies

“As a man thinks in his heart so is he” and how about the world around him/her – that too. I did not always believe or think like this but I have come to think this way. To me it makes so much more sense than blaming God or his/her imaginary evil twin, some “fallen angel” or the world at large, all the while dodging our own personal responsibility as co-creators of the world in which we live. “If you can see it, you can be it.” That is the reality of our life. Sadly, we do that most easily with our nightmares, not our best, finest, and highest dreams. Why, do you suppose that is so? I am told by people who believe that “thoughts become things” and “that by our thoughts we manifest our reality” that what makes manifesting thoughts work fastest and best is to imbue our thoughts and words about them with emotion. See all the emotion in our gripes, grievance, and grumblings – no wonder what we create is more of the same.

Next time you catch yourself starting to complain about your lot in life imagine a better life and with joy and great emotion think and talk about that instead. First time I saw the movie Willy Wonka with my beloved little girl, Emily, I missed the true meaning of the words to the song, Pure Imagination. Over the past several years I have listened to Josh Groban’s version of the song till I think I get it. Listen to my Mockingbird Version and see if you get it too.

Pure Imagination

Josh Groban must have an incredible life for he puts so much of himself and his emotions into his songs and must as well into his thoughts, intentions, and desires. My life has been pretty incredible too except when I sabotaged it with misguided thoughts and ill conceived words.

In closing let me paraphrase another favorite Proverb, “May the thoughts of my heart, and the words of my mouth be acceptable in my sight, oh lord my dream creator and redeemer. – Amen.”

And another line from a song that Josh covers with even more emotion than a young Judy Garland, “Somewhere, over the rainbow skies are blue and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.” A man and a woman.

Your friend, fellow traveler,

And dream world co-creator,

David White
