None of us feels or gets anything unless we reach “within” for it, not “out.” Why do we persist in believing the lie that someone or something outside ourselves is the answer, the love, the treasure we need to complete us? We are complete, holy, whole already with infinite resources within to draw from. “I am so grateful that everything that I could ever want or need is already mine and coming to me at just the right time and in just the right way from my loving and infinite source.” When those wonderful words first came to me almost six years ago I barely had a clue what they meant and I am still discovering the depth of that particular nugget of truth that came from within.
My dad who died almost twenty three years ago told me by way of loving fatherly advice when I was a very troubled middle aged man, “ Son, you need to find your resting place.” We all have such a place and our higher self who or whatever we believe that to be has promised to meet us there and work it out whatever the problem is – Be still and know…or in other perhaps more clear, understandable words, “Go within.” There you will find the answers, no where else, all you have been looking for all of your short or long life is there, inside you.
I am having a bit of trouble remembering to include a poem each day in February. Here are a couple of verses from a sexy poem that I wrote yesterday that seem to fit today’s theme. Jesus once told a crowd, “ You think you are polluted by what comes into you but the reverse is true it is what comes out of you that often seems the most unclean for out of the heart are the issues of life.” Maybe the book does not use those exact words but the gist of his remarks was something like that. My point – go within to discover all there is to know.
Why, Dave, you speak of anything.
My reply, “What’s not to love?”
Of more concern the god below,
Within, not one thought to be above.
Yes, I love all the sexy girls and boys
And all the sexy women and men
Sex like love and all things true
Can be, is always, found within.
Your friend and fellow traveler,
With the encouraging word for today, “Within.”
