Today’s poetic offering is another one verse poem that was written to a friend overly concern with, I think, the seeming imperfections or accidents in the picture but then in a larger sense we are collaborating, co-artists, with the Master Artist in creating not only our world but our lives. We should just trust that every brush stroke is incorporated into the finished work of art.
As The Artist Sees
We see the scars, wrinkles, and lines,
But the Artist sees the beauty of His own designs.
Someday our eyes will be opened to see as He sees
Hidden from us now by pain’s remains are everlasting beauties.
Comment : This (verse) was composed in at note to A Friend that I thought was too concerned with her scars to see the true beauty she possessed. It was attached to a pass along from my cousin containing several lovely pictures of old barns and a story about a rich man who bought an old barn to get the aged and beautiful wood to panel his home and how we older ones who have gone through the aging of this life might think ourselves old barns but the Artist recognizes the beauty of His creation and will furnish his Home with us.

Everyone has scars…some on the outside…some on the inside……”Many have likened them to tattoos with better stories….hurt that is over and wounds that are closed…reminders of when life tried to break us but failed….and that we were stronger than what tried to hurt us.” No matter the creator of the scars, the artist of the tattoos or the writer of the words…I believe that scars just make us more beautiful as times goes by.
If someone you care about needs encouragement let them hear some of the sweetest words ever written: “None of your scars will ever make me love you less”. Find the beauty in every moment of your life…no matter what…live every moment…laugh every day…dance in the rain and love beyond words!
