Whatsoever My Hands Find To Do
I have always found it a bit difficult to understand boredom. As the Lion King song Circle of Life says so eloquently, “There’s far too much to take in here, more to do than can ever be done.” If you find yourself bored, you are just not paying attention or which is more likely the case focusing too intently on something that you say you do not want in your life, yet by being obsessed with it you insure it will remain an ever present problem instead of the fading memory you ought to let it be.
Those last three words reminded me of a Beatles song. Letting be those things or people we do not want in ours live frees our minds and our hands to invest in up more interesting things and people. The beginning phrases of my daily affirmation goes like this, “My heart and my mind are open, my arms and my hands are open, my mouth, noses, ears and eyes are open, to all the Universe, for all the Universe to follow in and through me.” In case you missed it, the Universe, is one of my favorite names for my higher best self, the only higher power that I recognize.
