Persistence
Tomorrow, I will write my 4,000th daily blog. I am reminded of some lines from my daily affirmation: “I am healthy. I am happy. I am whole. I am patient. I am persistent. But, most of all I am kind.” I was taught that persistence pays off and I have proven that belief works for me experientially. There is little if anything one cannot accomplish if they just stay at it.
Tomorrow, I will have achieved four fifths of my goal toward writing 10,000 blogs. It has taken me eleven and a half years to get here. If I have time and stay determined I will achieve this goal. Today I have another shorter range goal in mind, trying to make a more comfortable place in the Hundred Acre Wood for a couple of dear ladies, my granddaughter and daughter-in-law, to enjoy. I plan to relocate my camper trailer and run a sewer line to an existing septic tank on my four point six acre ranch site that is adjacent to the campsite.
In the words of John Wayne spoken to the cowboys in the movie by the same name, “Better get a move on, we’re burning daylight.”
