Picking Leaders

Animals pick the leader of the pack based upon qualifications. Their leaders must be strong, savvy, and willing to sacrifice themselves for the safety and well-being of the group. Today’s picture quote is another one of those true but misappropriated quotes. Winston Churchill never said that, but it sounds like the sort of thing he might have said. He was no fool and he saw a lot of fools propelled into leadership positions by people who failed to require the three S’s of their leaders, instead opting for BS and Stupidity. You can imagine BS standing for Bull Slop if it’s most recognized meaning offends your sensibilities.

If you are still enamored with our Dear Leader, DJT, I find it hard to believe that you could be offended so easily as he has pushed the bounds in so many ways with his Make America Great Again movement which seems calculated more to make himself great (billions richer, his name on everything, and transforming D.C. in to Donnywood). He in contrast to the better Three S’s is slack, silly, and self-serving to a fault.

Winston Churchill followed as Prime Minister of Great Britain one of the weakest Prime Ministers that they ever had. Neville Chamberlain was enamored with Adolf Hitler as Donald Trump is with Putin. This is nothing new. Europe has seen appeasement and toadies before.

One last picture quotes says it all.
