Those Who Sold-Out

Many people have been conned into believing the fascist agenda that was first originated by Benito Mussolini and soon after practiced on an industrial scale by Adolph Hitler that power in the hands of one strong man is the answer to all a people’s problems. That lie itself is much older and has been espoused by dictators throughout time, but the system devised to promote it called fascism was perfected in the twentieth century.

In 1956 after WW2, the war to defeat fascism John F. Kennedy wrote a book called Profiles in Courage.

I have never read the book, but just ordered a copy this morning and also a copy of a more recent book called Profiles in Cowardice by Jacob Weinberg.

Today’s picture quote is a picture of five prominent people who once stood against Donald Trump, but sold out. After the January 6th attack on the Capitol in Washington, D.C., which was an orchestrated attempt to disrupt the certification of the 2020 Presidential election results, many Republicans stood up to condemn Donald Trump for inciting the mob and failing to call them off for over six hours. Most all of them later sold out and a Republican controlled Senate refused to vote for conviction in his second impeachment trial.

We the people have perhaps our last real opportunity to vote in the matter of whether this fascist regime will continue unchecked or not. Our democratic republic hangs in the balance. Courage or Cowardice the choice is ours.
