Still It is A Wonderful World
After yesterday’s long, sobering, and sad blog, today I hope to deliver something more upbeat. My default setting unlike my mom’s is not somebody stole my cup, but my cup runneth over. Though never promise according to the poet, I still always look for flowers and nine times out of ten I find them. Actually if I open my heart and mind, my arms and my hands, my mouth, nose, ears and eyes and allow the Universe to flow in and through me, I always find the good even in the most dire and darkest situations.
I find that focusing too much on what we do not want brings more of that to us. We should keep our focus on the highest and best things believing that doing so will help draw them to us. It may sound too Pollyanna to most folks. but I find it works for me. I have learned to discard beliefs that no longer serve me and this belief in maintaining an attitude of gratitude, an expectation of good things ahead, still serves me well.
That there are inequities and injustice in the world, I do not deny. However it is still if we have the eyes to see it and the openness to accept it – a wonderful world.
