Sittings With A Loved One In Pain
One of the most difficult things to deal with in life is pain and sitting with a loved one in pain is very hard indeed. You feel so powerless and helpless. Religious people find comfort in prayer, but those of us not so religiously inclined hope that medical advances will discover the source of the pain and be able to address it or at the very least provide some relief from the pain with medication.
If you have had to watch a loved one suffer you know how grateful you are to medical professionals who help make intolerable situations bearable. My beloved wife, Linda Lee, fell last night and has been experiencing pain on her left side. We are at the ER and they are checking her out. X-rays, EKG, CAT Scan. I will let everyone know how it goes.
