And Now…A Word From Our Sponsors
They say if you want to find the master mind behind any crime, “Follow the money.” I started this blog eleven years ago hoping to build a platform a following large enough to convince a would be publisher to publish a book I had written about my daughter called, Emily, The Little Girl Who Sang Her Song To Anyone Who Came Along. Along the way I came to see myself like my dearly departed daughter as just wanted to freely share what I had been freely given.
I have no sponsors, in fact I pay a fee for my platform on Word Press. No one is paying me to express my opinions. The only profit I receive is an occasional “Well said” or “You don’t know what you are talking about.” It is nice to know people still read me and think for themselves.
Money is not the root of all evil. That is a misquote of a Bible verse that actually reads, “The love of money is the root of all evil.” Money is a necessary thing to survive. But one does not need a pile of it to get by or be happy. In fact often it seems that the people with the largest piles are quite unhappy indeed. The deceitfulness of riches is that they may promise security, power, and happiness. The first two are often temporary at best and illusions more often than not. But what of happiness.? How much money do we need to be happy?
I heard someone say once that the definition of “rich” is “enough.” Perhaps that is why so many millionaires and billionaires do not consider themselves rich for it is not enough.
In closing an old song comes to mind, “I’m richer by far with a satisfied mind.” It is nice to get to freely share what I have been freely given and not have my thoughts and opinions limited or dictated by sponsors.
