Warm Hearts

For many this life often seems a sad and solitary journey but the warm hearts we have met and are yet to can dispel that myth if we let them. We can keep each other warm.

Horton in todays’s story shares his warmth and helps to bring a new life into the world. The warmth and light of a single life can both illuminate and comfort the lives it touches. What else, if not that, are we here for? To amass a pile of money, or to collect the most toys? Both are in the end vain and empty pursues, void of warmth and comforting no one, not even ourselves. Jesus story about the “Barn Loser” concludes with the line: “For what shall it profit a man (or woman) if he (she) gains the whole world but loses his (her) soul in the process?”

It is a rhetorical question, the answer being self-evident. Money and toys matter little if we have no one to share them with. There is magic when warm hearts get together. We could even start a fire.
