Do You Believe In Magic?
The sixties rock group , The Lovin’ Spoonful, posed the question in song, “Do you believe in magic in a young girl’s heart, how the music can free her whenever it starts?” If music has magic to soothe the savage beasts how much easier it is to loose the ribbons that bind a young girl’s heart or woman’s of any age or man’s for that matter.
I believe in the magic of love. In the words of another nineteen sixties love song that, “Love is all around me, it’s everywhere I go.” There are forces at work all around us. Power and money-hungry people would have us believe that unless we are willing to do anything to get ahead even killing and stealing that we will never be alive nor thrive. But I believe in magic, I believe in the power of love to set right everything gone wrong and to transform even the hardest and most jaded of hearts.
Jesus said, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” The Roman Governor Pilate cynically asked, “What is truth?” It is this:
You are loved?
You are lovable?
You are altogether lovely?
You and I are the children of Love
For He, She, We are love?
And love is magical.
