How Does Your Garden Grow?
Gnomes are to many just symbols of good luck and protection. Like Jesus they seem to hang out a lot in gardens. There is I believe a little truth behind all myths even the myths regarding gnomes.
I can see why people collect gnomes and scatter them around their lawns and gardens to ward off bad luck and pesky varmints and salesmen, well maybe not gnome salesmen. Somebody is making a bucks or two off the sales and marketing of gnomes, fairies, angels, saints, and other religious good luck charms.
Gnomes remind me of Santa’s elves and Leprechauns. I recently purchased a small gnome figurine that I saw in a Big Lots store. I plan to find a prominent place for him in my flower garden. I derive a lot of joy from watching flowers grow and bloom and I think if them too as symbols of good fortune and prosperity. Every time I see the little gnome watching over my flower garden I will remember to say the lines that I built my daily mantra around:
“I am so glad and grateful that everything that I could ever want or need is already mind and coming to me at just the right time and in just the right way from my loving and infinite source.”
