No Creature Shall Separate Us
Our one and only enemy (Satan, the Devil, ego) is a created being as are the characters in the series of books that I am currently featuring on this blog. His/her one mission is to separate us from the love of God, but Paul was convinced and so am I:
In the creation story found at the beginning of both the Jewish and the Christian Bibles and other ancient stories the couple created by God are found in the middle of a garden paradise with everything their hearts could desire. Somehow in this perfect picture a naysayer, a liar, a tempter appears in the guise of a serpent.
Where did he come from?
I believe that we are co-creators with God. That when the scriptures say that we were created in the image of God one of the ways in which we are most like our creator is that we create things. How do we do it? Just as He/She did we think things into existence. Where did that serpent come from? He came from the mind of man (man and woman.) We created an adversary an advisor the Prince of this World to listen to and to obey instead of the true Voice in our heads and hearts.
Who shall separate us from the love of God? Only a creature from our imagination could even pretend to do that. It takes more faith to believe ego’s lies than it does to believe the truth about Who and Whose we are, have always been, and will forever be. All things bright and beautiful, the Lord God made them all.
