Someday We’ll Know

I had a difficult time reading the wonderful little children’s book that I share today for experiences with my own little baby girl and baby boy came flooding back into my heart and when that happens my voice cracks and tears leak out of my eyes making in harder to see and to talk. I remark often how very much I have learned from my children. That seems backward to many adults but trust me it is true, “a little child shall lead them.”

I heard some say once that the real reason babies cannot talk when they first arrive is that they being so shortly removed from the source might spill the beans, ruin the surprise, give away the ending of this marvelous thing called life. It case you wonder it is this. We are so loved we have been given a wonderful gift – to imagine we are on our own to figure it all out. The truth is that on some distant shore we chose to begin again as babies and experience in all over again and again.

“This is the day that the Lord and I have made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Those brilliant babies know this, but Mum’s the word. Those endearing smiles and the twinkle in their eyes almost give it away. They have more to teach us about heaven than we have them in case you ever wondered – someday we’ll know.
