In The Still Of The Night

In the still of the night

Before the day begins

I find quiet and solitude

Among my best friends.

They open the heart and mind

When nothing’s yet to do or say

The quiet heart hears words

That inspire throughout the day.

In the still of early morning

Before the first bird sound

Without fanfare or warning

The right words are found.

Most mornings I rise early with no clue of what I intend to share in this my daily blog. All I know is I made myself a promise seven years ago that I would provide a space, a place where “often is heard and encouraging word.” This is that space and place:

As long as I am able I will keep reaching in to that grab bag that is my heart and mind and share freely what I find there. My three-pronged goal has been from the start and continues to be to share something entertaining, enlightening, and most of all encouraging. How well I accomplish that goal daily is for you, my readers, to decide.
