What Comes To Us Is Of Our Own Design

Some years ago as I was searching for the answers to the mysteries of life some words came to me: “I am so glad and grateful that everything that I could ever want or need is already mine and coming to me at just the right time and in just the right way from my loving and infinite source.”

As a young man I had read the Bible five or six times through both the King James and the more modern translations. I found a few clues there, but not the answers others promised that I would, just more questions. So I looked for less traditional sources. I read The Course In Miracles which purports to be the channeled voice of Jesus explaining how his gospel was changed and repackaged to promote someone else’s agenda. I also read the large three volume treatise The Way Of Mastery. Both of these publication have in common their claim of authorship by Jesus himself and come to the same conclusion that our higher power is indeed our higher best self. “Pay no attention to the little man behind the curtain, “I Am” the great and powerful Oz.”

What you/we are looking for is and has always been yours/ours and the person you/we seek to mirror, to admire, and to worship is yourself/ourself, the One True Self. Finding out just Who and Whose you/we are is the great mystery of life. Jesus is not the answer, nor Buddha, nor any other prophet. They are merely clues, pieces in the great puzzle that is you/me/we.

The story goes that once a precocious little girl had just about worn her dad out finding things to occupy her. In frustration he gave her a thousand piece jig-saw puzzle of the world to put together. In a few minutes she called him to the dinning table where the puzzle was completed. Amazed, her dad ask, “How did you put that puzzle together so fast.” She replied, “It was easy, Dad, there was a picture of a man on the back side and when you put the man together the whole world just fell into place.”

Thus is the great answer to the mysteries of life. The key to the treasure house is us, the answer to all our prayers, wishes, dreams and desires. Our loving and infinite source is the divine trinity He/She/We. What comes to us is of our own design. We have a million reasons to be glad and grateful for everything we could ever want or need is already ours and coming to us at just the right time and in just the right away from our loving and infinite source.
