Snatching A Victory From The Jaws Of Defeat

Most of the races are decided with a few still too close to call. There are happy winners and not so happy losers on both sides, enough to go around. With the votes still being counted announcements are expected soon regarding who will be running in the 2024 races. It reminds me of the Christmas shopping season, once confined to the few weeks between Christmas and Thanksgiving. There are Christmas stores these days opened all year long around the world selling ornaments and tinsel to deck the halls and trees. One who was taught by my mom to love all things Christmas and by my dad to think of Christmas as just another day every day is for me indeed like Christmas.

We all feel like winners and losers in our lives till we finally realized that we can with just one positive spin change the whole game. And as the song says “life is but a dream.” It is our dream and we can make everyday like Christmas if we wish. Stop expecting to find bills in your mailbox and begin looking forward to checks made out to you instead. Remind yourself daily that “We get what we expect so we should expect only the highest and best.”

So what if one election did not go the way we hoped it might. Tomorrow is a new day and it will manifest what we invest our thoughts in today. Winners and losers is a game we have been programmed to play. But win we will if we have a mind to.
