Don’t Want To Miss A Thing
We are all traveling through time and space on this spinning and whirling spaceship earth. We spend approximately one third of our journey sleeping, resting and recouping so that we will have the energy to explore all the sights and sounds around us.
Sometimes not only babies get their days and nights confused and their sleep patterns disrupted. Like children many adult stay up late for fear they might miss something.
Never fear for the driver on this train, plane, bus, or chauffeured limo will wake you for the important stuff. Yesterday as my wife and I walked in a nearby park before sunrise and between the several rain storms I took notice of a familiar shape wet and laying on the rain-soaked sidewalk.
It was a hundred dollar bill. My wife was skeptical that it was a real Benjamin, but it looked real to me so I picked it up and folded it carefully into my pocket. Later when we got home I examined it more thoroughly and sure enough it had the blue strip, watermarks and after letting it dry I socked it away in my secret place where I keep my Ben’s to Buy Gold Coins stash. I recently added two 1/4 ounce 2022 Canadian gold coins with the late Queen Elizabeth’s image on them to my growing collection.
It isn’t everyday that one finds a hundred dollar bill. One is more likely to spot a penny, nickel, dime, quarter, or even more rarely a dollar bill. What made me look down at that precise spot and at that exact moment? Well, as I have already said and I remind myself daily: “I am so glad and grateful that everything that I could ever want or need is already mine and coming to me at just the right time and in just the right way from my loving and infinite source.”
Greyhound Bus Company years ago had a slogan, “Go Greyhound and leave the driving to us.” As a child I thought the bus driver’s name was Gus, but maybe I was not so far off. Us with a G is I believe our true higher power. Some call their higher power God. He/She/We I like to call the Universe and also my loving and infinite source.
Sit back and enjoy the ride, leave the driving to Gus, assured you will not miss a thing.
