Good Advise To Follow

“If there is any thing good, think on these things.” Our thoughts are the arbiters of our experience in this time/space construct. “May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in (my) sight, O Lord my strength (my rock) and my redeemer.”

“Love and marriage” the old song says “Go together like a horse and carriage.” We have all of us, no matter how young or old we are, spent way too much time repeating in our hearts and minds words and thoughts that did and do not serve us. It is the words and thoughts that we give most credence to that determine whether we enjoy a happy life or one filled with strife. With care I choose the words for my daily mantra to correct, to protect, and to renew my mind.

A good example is the following: “I mirror you. I admire you. I worship you.” Want to see the highest and best in others and yourself? Say those three little sentences a loud to yourself till they become the guide to all your relationships. We are related in ways we do not always consider. We are a reflection of all we see and experience. We all want to be admired and even worshipped.

My favorite meaning for the word Namaste is: “I bow to the deity in you.” In its highest best sense that is what love is: reflecting, adoring, and paying tribute to the god spark in everyone and everything. Jealousy is of all reactions the most silly and senseless and to say or to think “I, the Lord thy God, am a jealous God, and will have no other gods before me” makes no sense at all. The He/She/We God of the Universe is indeed One and “all in all.”

If you could choose a few words to be clues to your not so secret identity what would they be? Start with “I am” and try these on for size:

I am heathy.

I am happy.

I am whole.

I am patient.

I am persistent.

Above all I am kind.

I am loving.

I am lovely.

I am loved.

I am love.
