Fly Through The Breeze With The Greatest Of Ease
I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of a new bike I recently ordered. It came yesterday afternoon and after the obligatory “Some assembly required” I took it for a spin last night about 9 pm Houston time. Just as soon as I post this short piece I plan to go again.
A day before the bike arrived a new speedometer/odometer arrived so I will be able to tell how fast I am pedaling and how far. Along with my goal of ten thousand blogs I aim to put ten thousand miles on this bike. Both are big goals, but then they who would accomplish big things must aim high.
As a boy like many boys of my generation I clothes-pinned a towel around my neck and jumped off the front porch dreaming I was Superman. I believe there is a Superman/Superwoman in all of us, “Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.”
The world awaits for us to show our stuff. I have to admit you sure look stylish in that red cape.
Your friend and fellow traveler,
David White
