The Power Of A Smile
Yesterday, I wrote of the great power of music to soothe and to make our lives better and brighter. Today just a few words about that special ingredient that we all possess that can brighten the lives of those around us and even our own.
Before I was ever a great kisser (and trust me practice does indeed makes perfect on that score) I was a great hugger, but even long before that I was from a very young age a skilled smiler. My mama used to call me sunshine because she recognized that a smile like a baby’s yawn is contagious. I loved to make my mama smile. Yesterday, my loving and lovely wife Linda asked me if I was short on hugs because I am forever asking her for a hug, especially of late. I replied, “Yes, but I always have an extra smile or two to share with you because I love to see you smile.”
I hope we will not have to wear these masks in social situations forever. I am smiling under mine and trying hard to smile with my eyes. I have for several years practiced that each morning looking in the mirror and saying aloud, “I love you, Mama. I love you, Daddy. I love you, Baby.” That covers all the bases.
I love to see your smiling eyes.

Ah, you noticed, I’always smiling, I guess it has to be super bad to make me frown, so much to smile about really.
