An Eye and Ear For the Beauty All Around Us
Some years ago, somewhere, I do not recall where or when I first heard the phrase, “And he shall have flowers where ever he goes.” I just Googled it to see what I could find and the nearest thing was this English nursery rhyme from circa 1611:

He and she shall have flowers and music wherever they go. That is the promise whispered from the Universe to each and all of us. Those who would control us would rather we fixate on problems and all the uglier aspects of life rather than all thing bright and beautiful that the song says, “the Lord God made them all.”
Two sections I quote today from my ever evolving daily mantra. First from the beginning: “My heart and my mind are open; my arms and my hands are open; my eyes, nose, mouth, and ears are open – to all the Universe has for me.” And from the middle: “This is the day that the Lord and I have made, we will rejoice in it.”
Some years ago, somewhere I do not recall, but the voice I recall was as familiar as my own, I heard and believed the words whispered to my heart of hearts: “He, she, we shall have flowers, music, and beauty wherever we go.” I am of a mind that flowers, music, and beauty are the three prime ingredients of a life well loved and lived. May we ever stay open to such a life.
