Be Yourself
Charles Schultz’s famous Peanuts daily comic strip began running on October 2, 1950. For fifty years it ran till it ended January 3, 2000. Reruns of the strip continue to be adored today as do the several books and movies depicting the Peanuts gang, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus, Lucy, and all.
Today’s book, Be Yourself, is both great art and great philosophy combined:
Be Yourself
Be A Friend
Be Loving
Be Determined
Be Active
Be Creative
Believe
Be Yourself.
All of Charles Schultz’s life from his birth on November 26, 1922 till his death on February 12, 2000 he shared with us all and continues to today and will, I believe, long into the future. He left a wonderful mark behind on this world. May we all do so as lovingly and as well.
Today I pay tribute and give praise to Charles M. Schultz, writer and cartoonist extraordinaire, for being himself.
Your friend and fellow traveler,
David White
