Tiny Tailors

One of the most unique baby books that I came across in my search for children’s books to share is today’s. The colorful fabric treasure is quite pricey to obtain new but of course it came to me gently used at quite a bargain, just a few cents if I recall correctly.

Where, you may be wondering will he go with this brief if unique book as a launching pad. Me too. But here we go. I believe that in a life time that all of us entertain many inspired thoughts any number of which have the potential to change our lives and the lives of others around us. But, why do we chose to act or not to act on them? Since we are all so gifted why does it seem that only a few know the secret of transformative thinking. It is a secret that really is not a secret at all, countless books having been written about it throughout the ages and so many more in the last century.

Rhonda Byrnes’ small best seller called The Secret came out almost fifteen years ago and she has a new one coming out in November called The Greatest Secret. The first book was about the secret that is no secret, namely what the last two lines of the poem Invictus that I recently quoted say so well: “I am the captain of my fate. I am the master of my of my soul.”

The Secret is all about choosing the highest and best thoughts that come to us to manifest (make come true) in our lives. I can only assume that The Greatest Secret is a continuation on how best to accomplish that. We all know if we are paying attention to life lessons at all that the only two paths available to us in life are to win some or to learn some. Jason Mraz’s song I’m Yours says that strait out in the midst of a relatively short song that nevertheless has a powerhouse of lyrics (listen closely.) My cover of it follows todays’s sign off.

Hidden or not so hidden in all the words regarding judgement, condemnation, damnation, and words of sacrifice in the Bible that inspire so many guilt religions (I personally believe guilt religions have done far more harm than good in the world) are also revealing words about what the secret to a whole and happy really is. I share but two, one from the Old Testament and one from the New.

“Delight yourself in the Lord and he (or she) will give you the desires of your heart.” (Where do our desires come from? – from our higher self of course.)

“Ask whatsoever you will, believing, and you shall receive.” (Ask, then act like you already received what you ask for, and it will show up at just the right time and in just the right way – guaranteed.)

Faith is not some magic spell. It is simply believing that what ever we think can come true enough to act on it. Ego would always put the brakes on our higher better thoughts and encourage us to step on the gas on our lesser darker ones and thereby bring them into being to teach us only the harder lessons of life. This explains not only the seeming great successful lives but the seeming great failures too. I say seeming for both for again I believe the facts bear out the only two outcomes available whichever thoughts we choose to cherish and act upon are to win some or to learn some.

May we all come to realize what Mike Dooley reminds us of daily in his Notes from the Universe, “Thoughts become things choose the best ones.”
