Horton Hatches The Egg
The unlikely picture of a large elephant up a tree reminds me of a favorite old elephant joke: “Why do elephants paint their toe nails red? So they can hide in cherry trees.” I hope you enjoy another Horton adventure.
Life can be a continuous adventure, yes, even with the imposed travel limitations of a pandemic virus lock down. Children remind us as we watch even the little ones busy at play that pure imagination can transform the world around us to a marvelous play ground.
One of the old legends has the great God creating the vast Universe in six days and then taking a day off to enjoy it. But, all those little creative magician minds that are but extensions of the first couple, the beginning Oneness, are forever expanding the Universe with new, interesting, an imaginative stories.
We are all story tellers and writers, all of one mind. My friend Mike Dooley likes to say and to write, “Thoughts become things, choose the good ones.” I like to shorten that a bit to, “Think Happy Thoughts.” Life, my dear friends is always for us what we imagine it to be. So then the only one to bless or to blame for the world we see is always, “little ole me.” If you do not like the world you see, use your imagination, and create a bigger, brighter, better one.
Your friend and fellow traveler,
Imagineer of wonderful worlds yet to be,
And one particularly fine one that already is,
David White
