“Don’t Ask Why. Don’t Ask How…Just Love Me Now.”

“Don’t Ask Why. Don’t Ask How…Just Love Me Now.”

Sometimes our lives seem to get stuck in a loop and we keep repeating the same painful scenarios over and over. I do not claim perfect wisdom but believe that with every child of the Universe that I have equal access to the One Mind Who does, the mind who inspired one who was listening to jot down, “Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you do not know.”

My problem is not with holy books, or any particular religion, or belief system really. Clues and great clues to what is true are to be found in most if not all of them. Pilate asked Jesus, “What is Truth?” And Jesus purportedly answered that he was the way, the truth, and the life and that was taken to establish yet another religion in the pantheon of world religions. I no longer think that was Jesus intent but rather that his life was meant to be yet another example of the way to live truly the happiest, most whole, and most complete life possible. Bible historians say Jesus walked this earth about thirty-three years but what a full life his was.

Glen Campbell recorded many wonderful songs in his active singing career and I borrowed the words of one for my title today. “Here I’ll Stay Until It’s Time For You To Go” is the main thought of the song but Glen also asks, “Don’t ask why. Don’t ask how. Don’t ask forever of me. Just love me, love me now.” None of us can promise that we will be here tomorrow. Sometimes when life is especially painful or hard we might even wish it could be cut short. But then we would not want to miss the best that may yet lay ahead in this journey. So with Glen’s words about staying till we receive the Universe’s “by your leave” came to me but yesterday another special message written in the folds of my own heart, “Lean not on your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge Me and I will show you the way to go.” I took comfort in that message. I have heard myself say often of late, “I don’t know what to do.” And I know my Higher Self is saying whether I always hear it amid the pain, “I know you often feel lost, but try to relax and let me handle this for you, the way I always have and always will.”

Until It’s Time For Me To Go.
