Oath of Allegiance
There is a reason that the Oath of Allegiance whether we are talking about the Naturalization Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America, the oath elected and appointed public officials and judges take, or that sworn to by military service people, is made to the Constitution and not a person. The principle that no one person is above the law, nor infallible, is written large in the U.S. Constitution which is difficult to amend and was produced after much deliberation and compromise by arguably the best minds of the time in which it was written and even then it required a Bill of Rights to be attached to it before two thirds of the states would ratify it into law.

I recently saw on social media a free offer to U.S. military veterans who served between 1965 and 1974 of a challenge coin that looked very impressive. All that was required was to pay a small shipping and handling fee. I took the click bait and started down the checklist of questions to answer before receiving my “free” gift. I was wary of providing too much personal information, but was stopped dead in my tracks when I was asked to swear allegiance to the President. I immediately recalled a scene from the recent unprecedented mid-term Republican Convention in Dallas, Texas where President Trump asked the lack the less than packed house to raise their right hands and swear allegiance to the greatest President ever. I do not think he is the greatest President ever nor that even if he was that any citizen should swear allegiance to him.
President Nixon once said, “The America people deserve to know that their President is not a crook and I am not a crook.” The evidence and the finally released Nixon Tapes tell a different story.
Some people believe, and I am one, that Donald Trump, started the ill-advised war with Iran to distract from the release of the Epstein Files. If the Democrats are successful in their bid to take control of the House and the Senate in next week’s mid-term elections the truth of Trump’s involvement in the Epstein Files and other crimes will come out. He knows it and is desperate to avoid exposure of and conviction for his crimes.
“Lock her up!” Was his rallying cry against Hillary Clinton and if he could he would indict and convict all who oppose him of the crime of not swearing allegiance to him personally. Sorry, Mister President, the list of people unwilling to swear allegiance to you is growing greater every day.
We want our country and our House back. If you were as wise as President Nixon was you would resign right now and cut a deal with Vance to pardon you preemptively on your way home to Florida.
