Follow The Money

One does not have to be a forensic accountant to figure out how corrupt the political system has become. The first trillionaire in the world, Elon Musk, got there in large part because of government contracts. He is under investigation in Wisconsin for voter fraud because he actually offered and gave away millions of dollars to try to sway the election of state Supreme Court Judges there. That effort thankfully failed but the over 200 million he gave the Trump 2024 Presidential Campaign got Trump elected and he, Elon, received a very big return on that investment.

Someone has said, “We have the best government money can buy.” The opposite of Lincoln’s great tribute to the U.S. Government has seemed more and more true for some time, that ours is the government of the rich, by the rich and for the rich in instead of “the government of the people, by the people, and for the people.”

Lincoln knew when he gave his Gettysburg Address that free and fair elections were all that kept the rich and powerful in check.

It is high time we voted the Looney Tunes out and restored a government responsive to the will of the majority of the people and not just “a privileged ruling class.”
