Genius

The dictionary definition of genius is exhausting. I am not sure that finding the difference in the lines of steam from the granny’s coffee cup in today’s picture qualifies as genius, yet it does feel good to recognized that we are indeed “Smarter than the average bear” as Jelly Stone Park resident and picnic basket pilferer Yogi Bear would put it.

I happen to believe that each of us has access through our higher best self to all the wisdom of the Universe. Jeremiah 33.3 (God’s telephone number) says, “Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you do not know.” In a New Testament verse we are told that the great secret to accessing information is an anagram. A.S.K. Ask, Seek, and Knock. I have paraphrased that verse a bit in my daily mantra: “I ask believing I shall receive, I seek and I shall find, I knock and it shall be opened unto me.”

I have found it to be true that we have not because we ask not, we quit seeking, we stop knocking. Geniuses keep asking questions expecting answers, never stop seeking, and keeping knocking expecting doors of understanding to be opened.

Looking for differences is a metaphor. A.S.K. is how we tap into the genius that is within in us all.
