Don’t Just Dream, Make Big Plans

What would you think if after all the years of blaming our lack of success and happiness on others, bad luck, even God (the Universe) we discovered that the secret to success and happiness and yes even to failure and misery is that it is entirely all up to us.

Before you protest that I am blaming the victim, hear me out. I believe in a Universal loving and infinite source that for lack of a more description term is our Higher Self and that She/He only desires health, happiness, and success for each and every one of her children. The big Butt, or actually “but” in this equation is that we have an important part in this plan – we are the key – if all is to go according to plan we must provide the spark that sets everything in motion.

We are told in the Psalms: “Delight thyself in the LORD and he shall give you the desires of your heart.” And Jesus famous ASK formula for getting what you want, that I elude to often is:

Ask whatsoever you will believing you shall receive.

Seek and you shall find.

Knock and it shall be opened unto you.

The rub, the fly in the ointment, the great impediment to success, happiness, and even health (failure and misery can also make us deathly sick) is that we have to make up our own minds and hearts what we truly want and ask for that instead of unknowingly continuing to ask for failure and misery. What we dwell on is what comes to us.

Jesus again on the subject: “If you being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him.” Want to know what turns God on, what turn the Universe loose to move heaven and earth to bring us success, happiness, and health? You guessed it – It is all up to us to just decide what we want and ask for it.

To quote a great line from the movie Spanglish: “Just try it on.”
