Staying Busy

“Whatsoever my hands find to do this day I will do with my whole heart, finding purpose in even the most menial of tasks.” I added those words to my daily mantra a few years ago and find them still applicable to my daily life even though I have been retired from my day job almost three years. There are still many things to keep my mind, my heart, and my hands busy.

I believe there are some good things in the “Things I Learned In Kindergarten” quote above, probably not everything we need to know, but definitely the basics. I draw your attention to one line in particular:

“Live a balanced life – learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.”

Sounds like a pretty good recipe for a long, healthy, and happy life, one that I have enjoyed thus far and hope to continue to enjoy. The life I wish for each and everyone.
