Wonderful Moments

The encouraging word for today is wonderful. Without exception we have all experienced wonderful moments and the key to realizing that we have indeed experienced a wonderful life is the ability to call on those moments of wonder and fulfillment when we are going through times of boredom and lack.

I have shared more than a few times about a little silver colored heart that I carry in my pocket to remind me of my good fortune. On one side it reads, “Thank you for this day, Spirit.” And on the other is written, “I am holy, I am whole.”

I believe that life is full of wonder and that as long as we are alive there are wonderful opportunities to be surprised by joy. Jesus knew there were some dark days ahead for himself and his intrepid crew that consisted of two former fishermen, a couple of thunderous brothers, a former tax collector, six lesser knowns, a doubter, and a would be traitor. And so he warned them to let not their hearts be troubled, assuring them that it was all according to plan.

The Universe has mapped out this wonderful adventure for each and every one of us enjoy. As Celine Dion sings in the lovely song from Disney’s live action Beauty and the Beast: “How does a moment last forever…Some moments aren’t so sweet, but we have to know some bad times or are lives are incomplete.”

In those moments don’t lose heart just hold on tight to those wonderful moments and make them last.
