I have three more readings to share and will complete my two hundred and ninety six readings in three days. When I began looking for children’s books to read for my Wisconsin friend’s granddaughter I was not sure how many I would find or how long I would be at it. As the Bible quote goes “Of making many books there is no end” – Ecclesiastes 12:12.
I have not found reading to be a weariness to the flesh but rather food for thought. I am wary of considering only certain books holy and others only fit to be banned and burned. As the Hallelujah song says: “You say I took the name in vain, but I don’t even know the name, and if I did well really what’s it to you. There’s a blazing light in every word. It doesn’t matter which you heard, the broken or the holy hallelujah.”
We are admonished to walk in the light revealed to us.
Your friend and fellow traveler,
David White
