1934 Meet Kit – Chapter 3
The title to today’s chapter from the first American Girl book, 1934 Meet Kit, is “It’s Not Fair.” Yesterday, I heard a man say to a a young boy who uttered the above familiar phrase, “Fair is when one group of people gets everything they want and the other group has nothing to complain about. There is no such thing as fair.”
The root cause of the Great Depression, all wars, and most if not all of the miseries of mankind is greed. A few people wanting to have it all and justifying any means to achieve and keep that out of balance condition, trying to make themselves and everyone else believe that it is “all for the best.” That is their definition of fair.
The attached fifty year old parody song “All For The Best” makes the point quite well.
